We are pleased to announce the launch of the Expedited Review Track, a new initiative aimed at accelerating the peer-review process for eligible manuscripts. This fast-track option is designed to offer authors a more efficient and streamlined peer-review experience while maintaining the journal's commitment to rigorous academic standards.
Manuscripts that qualify for the Expedited Review Track will undergo a significantly expedited peer-review process, with reviews completed within 1–2 weeks.
To be eligible for the Expedited Review Track, manuscripts must meet the following criteria:
Manuscripts that were previously submitted to high-impact journals, underwent full peer review, but were ultimately not accepted for publication are eligible for the Expedited Review Track. Authors who believe they have adequately addressed the reviewers' concerns are welcome to submit the required materials to apply for this expedited review process.
How to Apply for the Expedited Review Track
Authors interested in utilizing the Expedited Review Track should first submit their manuscript through the journal's online submission system. After completing the submission, authors should promptly contact the editorial office at [email protected] to request consideration for the Expedited Review Track. The editorial team will conduct a preliminary assessment to determine eligibility, and if approved, the manuscript will be immediately routed to the Expedited Review Track.
When contacting the editorial office, authors are required to provide the following materials:
• A cover letter clearly identifying:
The original journal to which the manuscript was submitted;
A statement confirming that the manuscript has been thoroughly revised in response to the prior reviewers’ comments and formatted in accordance with the Journal of Exploration of Cardiology guidelines;
A formal request for expedited review under this pathway.
• A copy of the decision letter from the original journal, including the full set of peer reviewer comments.
• A detailed point-by-point response addressing each reviewer comment, with revisions highlighted in color demonstrating how changes were made in response to the feedback.
